Lol! This place could almost be considered a sales website, if it weren't for the fact that almost everyone who ended up here found this site by exceeding what the (sometimes lousy) factory equipment could do. As said above "welcome to the addiction". You found the limit of the factory equipment. Time to upgrade.

That's my exact same thoughts.

Wonder how swapping a 400amp controller for a BGW 400amp controller will fix the issue. Makes sense the bigger tires are requiring more energy to make them move, and on the hills.

Maybe a better solution in the beginning is to try is to get some moving air to the 400amp controller.

Ok, so your saying the 400 amp controller I put in can't handle the large tires like the other Altrax 400 amp controller?

The controller I suggested is superior in many aspects. It does have built in cooling towers and an optional cooling fan.
Initially you were describing a common problem, thermal cut back. Now you are saying it cuts back when first starting out and under no real load.
Being a series cart there is no speed sensor. So, I would suspect the throttle signal is at fault, assuming no loose wires.
I hope this helps

BGW does not sale or make any golf cart parts. Not sure where you got this info. BGW is a free web site that members help members fix their golf carts for free
