Re: 81- 01 club car conversion
Ok guys I need the experts. Everything seems to check out. I have 49.2v at solenoid also at b+ and m1 on the controller. I tried to by pass the obc still no go. I did get the reverse beeper figured out I just had two wires crossed. Anyways having voltage on m1 means the controller is working properly am I right? Am I looking at the motor? How do I test it? Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: 81- 01 club car conversion
If you are a engineer you should know the answer to that! Anyhow you must have missed where I said I was taking the old 36v system out and putting a 48v system in from a parts cart i.e. Fnr, solenoid, controller, on board computer is all out of a 48v cart. I even have the 48v motor if I decide to go that route.

Re: 81- 01 club car conversion
Yes I would check the motor. Make sure rear wheels are off the ground.
To test run a SERIES motor: Remove all cables from the motor; connect a jumper from A1 to S1. Connect 12 to 24 volts, positive @ A2 and negative @ S2. Swap S1 and S2 to change rotation direction. |

Re: 81- 01 club car conversion
Motor checked out good with a continuity test. I've yet to do a test run with 12v but will do so soon. I did poke around with the multimeter and found that the solenoid has full voltage on both sides of the large terminals no matter what. Can someone confirm that this is normal? Doesn't matter if the key is on of off what gear it's in or if the pedal is presssd or not both large terminals on the solenoid have full voltage always.
