electrical cables
Here is another question I can't find the answer to. The wires that go to the motor (one red the other white) look kind of wimpy to me. Do you think there would be any advantage to replacing them with lower gauge wire? Say perhaps something along the lines of 6 or 4 gauge? Or would I just be creating a problem? Thanks!

Re: electrical cables
The battery to motor cables are 6 gauge... If your speaking of the smaller wires going to the motor then nope there is no advantage to switching out those wire to anything bigger... I run a 500 amp controller with 2 gauge wires and a high HP motor and those wires are still stock gauge...

Re: electrical cables
If those red and white wires go to the Field coil (F1 and F2) terminals on a Sepex motor, then all you need is 10 ga.
If You have a Series motor, all cables connected to the motor need to be a minimum of 6ga. |

Ok Thanks. Better to just leave things as they are.
