Loud intermittent motor/rear end noise
My Precendent has an Alltrax 485/stock motor. I drove it for about 15-20 mins at full throttle up and down some mild hills. Then all of a sudden it had a horrible noise that had a rhythm like a branch suck and hitting the wheel. It got really worse with any speed, like the gears were all broken up I stopped, and it did it forward or backward. I crawled back home and barely made it. Next morning, it drove fine for a short distance - no noise at all.
So is it possible it overheated, and the gears messed up until it cooled down the next morning? I will take it on another long ride and see if it re-occurs. |

Re: Loud intermittent motor/rear end noise
Have you check the rear axle oil level yet? It could be you got it hot and you heard the bushes, bet your stock motor is and will be short lived.
