Wrecked club car
Haven’t posted in awhile because the golf cart was running great and looked exactly the way I wanted. Until my kids wrecked it today. I’m pissed. I told them their Xmas presents were now going towards fixing my cart. Not sure what all is bent underneath yet. I have to look at it in the daylight. The wheels won’t turn to the left. I’m really hoping i can get just a replacement front for the Spartan body and not have to replace the whole thing.

Re: Wrecked club car
Sorry for your loss, but from the pics, it is not too bad.
And I know this was also your most important part, as was mine when it occurred here, but the kids are safe and at the end of the day, the rest is just plastic, paint and parts. I promise you will feel better tomorrow. Sharing past experiences, my boys took my 2 week old cart out to the sand pits and video'd themselves jumping over mounds and doing donuts. . I only found out by replacing one of their phones and when I swapped out the SD card, it started a video of my cart and I watched the little turkeys doing it.... (lots of cracking in the front required repainting) Then a few years ago my daughter was on one of ours and was riding with her girlfriend and all of a sudden the front door flew open and she came in screaming "I wrecked the cart - I ran into Mr. xxxx's mail box!" Bad thing was she did admit they were playing with their phones and were distracted which I had warned them about repeatedly. Oh well: 1- new mail box 1- new 4x4 post 1- bag of sacrete 1- front bumper 1- tie rod end 1- touch up paint 1- apologetic little girl (and a good lesson learned) And then for everything else, there's MasterCard! |

Andy,
You can order the cowl separately. Let me know what else is bent. |

Re: Wrecked club car
Thanks for making me feel better! Haha! Dave, I think I can epoxy the front without too much trouble from the underside. Looks like a clean crack. I'll take some underneath pics on Monday when I'm done with work for the weekend and go from there I guess.looks like the arm coming off the steering box is bent but I'll take some photos.
Thanks guys. |

Re: Wrecked club car
So, if they would have done this in February, would you be telling them no Christmas?
Stupid happens when you're a kid. It's a part of learning life's lessons. You know like, don't jump off the roof with an umbrella, it's not a parachute. It taught me, don't do that again. Be thankful everybody is fine. Forget about it and be happy, they're ok. If I had Christmas taken from me for "stupid", I probably wouldn't have had one from the time I was 7 years old til .... oh I don't know, now maybe. I'm still learning. If you're that mad at em, go make rake the yard or something. Even better yet, make them fix the cart. What's better than supervising your kids? Root canal. The buggie can be fixed and the kids are ok. Enjoy the Holidays with your family. You're all together and that's what matters. Merry Christmas,Muddog |

Muddog, If it happened in Feb and I could't take the cart to Fort Wilderness with the RV, I would have threatened to cancel the Disney trip! Haha!

Re: Wrecked club car
I took away a trip to The Masters from my son and have regretted it since.
Now where he is in life, he is an invited guest, he's done ok. So it was for the best, I guess. We will enjoy a Masters together before all is said and done. |

Re: Wrecked club car
I would have left a day or two early to stop by TahoeDawg's and camped in his driveway to get it fixed before the Disney trip! That is MY trip! The kids just get to go along with it!

Re: Wrecked club car
Y'all quit being so hard on him.....
He was just talking out of aggravation as every single one of us have too many times to count. His first replay said it all and he's already got a repair plan in the works. Heck, if he wasn't all the way up at Penn State, I would run over there and give him a hand, BUT, it is way too cold and too far for this southern red neck boy... |
