1997 ds question on fuse block
Hey guys,
I picked up a cart, 1997 ds 48 volt with blown headlights, high beam and low blown. Voltage at the switch is 22 volts, Has factory reducer, I did notice the fuse box positive is hooked up to battery #4 positive, Is this correct? Thanks |

Re: 1997 ds question on fuse block
Fuse box should be on the positive post of battery number 5. This provides 16 volts to the light circuit. The reducer will reduce the 16 to 12 via the negative side of the circuit. You should read near 12 volts with your negative meter probe on the ground block when the lights are drawing from the reducer. Unloaded voltage, even on the ground block, will read close to 16 volts. The extra voltage has probably blown your bulbs. Get new bulbs and fix the connection and it should work fine.
