Default Textron Total Charge 20484 dead

The charger does not hum or show anything on the ampmeter. I checked the fuse and I do have 120V at the Timer switch. The timer switch will rotate but does not seem to have any resistance as remember it had before. I did charge the batteries and had approximately 30vdc.

Make sure the timer knob isn't slipping on the shaft. Otherwise the timer is bad.

You probable won't be able to find a replacement timer for that antique, but if you have the room inside the case, you can use a control board for a later generation ferroresonant transformer type charger.

Would I be able to bypass the timer switch to find out if the charger will work?

Plug the black wire from transformer attached to the terminal group immediately below the terminal group the yellow wire is plugged into the same terminal group the yellow wire is plugged into.

If the battery pack voltage started out at about 30V, it ought to be putting out upwards of 20A, so the capacitor or transformer might be bad.

What is the on-charge voltage for the battery pack and for each battery?

It seems to be charging, after about 3hrs I disconnected the charger and it showed 37 volts at the receptacle. I'll have to leave it on all day to have a full charge.

I am trying to bypass and not sure if I am understanding your directions. I may have it bypassed but just not the issue. The charger will click when plugging into the cart but when turning dial there is nothing.
Thanks in advance
