Broken micro switch in throttle question.
Will the throttle micro switch having a broken roller tab leaving the circuit hot cause any damage to the F/R switch, solenoid, or controller? 2001 EZGO TXT Series 36v

Re: Broken micro switch in throttle question.
Thread is a wrap between the help from knowledgeable members and the manuals from the sticky.

Re: Broken micro switch in throttle question.
Good to hear it. For the sake of answering the question for the search archives.
The answer is yes. The pedal box microswitch (ms) function is to turn the power on for the solenoid coil and the controller circuit board. Leaving the solenoid coil powered up for long periods of time exceeds it's designed function and leads to it's early failure. Leaving the Controller powered up for extended periods of time as can happen when the key is left on and the pedal box ms has failed in the closed position will shorten the controllers useful life as well. |
