One of the photos above you are showing a RESISTOR made for a TXT.

Has this cart ever ran with the stuff on it now?

This is a picture of what is on the cart now. Yes it has worked before.

This wire with the diodes and resistor goes from big post to big post on the solenoid. No other resistors or diodes are attached to the solenoid.
Sorry for the double picture. I accidentally uploaded it twice and can’t figure out how to delete one lol

OK. IDK. I say start from square one and not assume that is the problem.

If the diode has been shorted wouldn't it be blown out?
If the diodes were shorted the voltage would have been the same on both solenoid posts.

Not if the resistor is doing what it is supposed to do.

The cart will run without that resistor and diodes and wouldn't have anything to do with your solenoid not clicking. Check to see if you have voltage to the solenoid coil by pacing the negative lead of your DVM to the main B- of the battery pack and the red lead of your DVM to the small terminal on the solenoid with the yellow wires. With the key on in forward with the pedal pressed you should have pack voltage. If you do and solenoid doesn't click that would mean the controller isn't supplying the ground to the small blue wire. You can run a jumper from battery pack negative to the small post on solenoid with the blue wire. If the solenoid clicks then it will mean the controller its faulty.

I don't totally agree with that analysis. The controller or something might be drawing too much current in its standby state pulling the voltage down. The assembly might not have the right value resistor. When the solenoid energizes when you press the pedal you should have the same voltage on both large posts. If the cart don't move then something else is wrong. Does the solenoid click?

If the solenoid still doesn't click with the jumper installed, I would suspect a bad solenoid.

Thank you mgray70. See post #11. I did not want to assert that without an EZ-GO guy confirming it.
