Default 2008 RXV Brake question?

I recently purchased a 08 RXV and started with the upgrades. I completed the lift and now it won't move it seems like the brake is on. The solenoid clicks and it sounds like the motor engages but no movement. Even in neutral and switched to tow nothing. I removed the brake and now the cart will move but not smooth. So I read a most of the other threads but I'm still not clear on what the problem could be.

Thanks,
Eddie

start by checking the wires to motor.

damage to any small wire will prevent cart from operating.

if you have acess to a good repair shop with service handheald... that would help diagnose problem.

When you lifted it, you probably "finished off" the encoder wires. One half is in the cart harnes (will probably be full of corrosion and salty looking wires). The other half is tiny thread wires going to the encoder on the bearing of the motor (the one with 4 wires, it's a fancy double-tach-sensor built on the bearing in the motor). Since you jostled & stretched the wires, I bet that's where it's at.
