Default 2008 rxv speed sensor compatible with newer controllers?

Hello ,
I wonder if 2008 rxv speed sensor (bearing speed sensor) "https://shop.txtsv.com/bearing-encoder-service-kit"

is compatible with newer Curtis controller that deals with the newer version of encoder ??

I had a controller and speed sensor issue in my rxv 2008 so i purchased the following:
conversion kit :https://shop.txtsv.com/danaher-6-8v-...conversion-kit
2008 bearing speed sensor similar to mine: https://shop.txtsv.com/bearing-encoder-service-kit

I wonder if that is compatible ??

Thank you

On EZGO website it says the conversion is for 2009 to current. So I would think not.

Maybe Bob will see this and chime in.

You will need the small wire that interfaces the oild bearing plug to the new sensor plug on new style wire harness.

or you can make one yourself.

Okay , Thank you . I can handle wiring .
Have you tried to combine 2008 sensor / motor with newer controller ?
I mean 2008 encoder is bearing sensor ( magnetic)
and newer versions are other technology.
Is the output that Curtis controller expects is the same ?

Both types are just a pair of hall-effect sensors "listening to" a 64 step encoder wheel, they are electrically compatible, it's just a rewire. Only their packaging/configuration styles are different.
