and your right.....the frames are the same. the only possible differences (depending on the year of it) would be either a 3 or 4 bolt steering column which would mean different steering.

I managed to find a frame locally. I was even surprised that I found one locally because I live in a hillbilly country. The frame looks good but the battery box is bad.

I haven't taken a closer look to the battery box yet but is it welded on or bolt on at the factory?

yep the are bolted in and pretty cheap....a new one from ezgo is a $150, but can be bought a bit cheeper aftermarket. I've replaced a few.
