Converted?
48 volt EZ Go. Looking to upgrade to high torque system. Was asked if converted from 36 Volt. I don't know. Any way to tell by looking at cart configuration?

Re: Converted?
What year is the cart? If you have a stock controller it isn't converted, but if you have an aftermarket controller it could be. You can also check the voltage of the stock motor.

Re: Converted?
Depends on what cart you have. If it is an rxv it has always been 48 and not many upgrade options. Txt, you can tell a lot by year. Around 2012 they weather the 48 volt txt. Post a picture of the controller and we can tell a lot.

Re: Converted?
6 (6v) batteries with 3 cells per battery = 36v.
6 (8v) batteries with 4 cells per battery = 48v. 4 (12v) batteries with 6 cells per battery = 48v. I did convert from 4 (12v) to 6 (8v) batteries on a 2012 ezgo2five when I needed to replace batteries. The battery holder needed changing because of corrosion anyways. Range improved. |
