Kicker base tube and unrelated brake question
Hello all,
Ill have the wiring all undone on my 2014 TXT soon to install a new controller and solenoid. I ordered some speaker pods that mount to the floor by my feet which ill be mounting some Polk Audio DB650 6.5" coaxial speakers. I will be driving it directly off of an MB Quart GMR-LED. Right now I'm not planing on running an amp until I figure out a subwoofer to mount in the cargo area in the back. My question is, what are peoples experiences with base tubes in open air on the back of a cart. I'm considering a kicker 10" or maybe an 8" tube. I can't post links yet but if you're I retested, its the kicker 10" 4 ohm tb base tube. Not really wanting a full blown box subwoofer enclosure on the back. Don't want the attention it may bring by someone who may want it more than me. The tube will blend in and fit under the rear seat kit, but is the sound worth it? Ill pair it with a 4 channel amp if I decide to pull the trigger. On a different note, I'm having an issue with the brakes not engaging evenly. Got under it and adjusted the brake cable at the linkage so that the parking brake will set but the brakes aren't pulling evenly. I haven't pulled the hubs to see what's going on but would like some tips or lessons learned on getting them to pull even. The brakes aren't dragging but their definitely not balanced and setting the brake takes a little bit of a touch sometimes. Thanks in advance Jamie |

Re: Kicker base tube and unrelated brake question
Thanks for the reply. The equalizer is pulling unevenly and beyond the 1/8" tolerance. Pulling the rear pax side brake first and engaging brake before the drv rear begins to engage. Looks like ill need to pull the drums and check the pads and adjusters. I definitely don't have 65 to 70 lbs of force to engage the parking brake.

Re: Kicker base tube and unrelated brake question
I have used the powered Bazooka 8" subwoofer on on my last 6 or so carts. Fits perfectly n the bag well. This is the one I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also used the speaker pods and 6.5" speakers. The head unit I prefer is the single DIN media receiver (AM/FM/Pandora/Bluetooth/USB/AUX) that I usually Bluetooth to my phone. Really sounds great with nice solid bass. Not too overpowering. Would highly recommend the Bazooka.
