Contactor help
i built a cart with two six terminal and one 4 terminal contactors none of them click when i apply 48v to the small terminals. are they polarity sensitive? and do the large lugs have to have power for them to work? this setup was to provide a reversing system for the motor

I’m pretty sure they should be marked if they’re polarity sensitive.
The large lugs don’t have to have power for the coil to work. Test for continuity between the two small terminals, then energize the coil (small terminals) and confirm you have continuity between the large posts when the coil is energized. |
