Something has seriously been changed in the temp sensor parameters used on new motors. I have had to use "temp offset -20" just to get the motors to read closer to correct range. The new motors are showing 106c temp on motors that are actually ambient room temp. Maybe bob can look more into this.

It will slow the motor down to a crawl, to allow it to cool while it crawls slowly along at less than 1/3 MPH. That is the default programming. When I reprogram an RXV controller, I set that to about 6 MPH. And for an encoder error, about 9 MPH. It takes an OEM or higher level handheld or programming station to alter or disable those parameters.

There is a solenoid much like one on a car starter that wear and they get stuck over time. Try tapping it a few times or replacing it. My buddies was doing same thing , not making initial sounds when key on , and that’s what it was. It’s under the tow switch. Be careful in there and don’t use anything metal when tapping. Have it replaced if it frees up and works.

If your stock rxv solenoid does NOT look like one of these style, immediately replace it with something better. I'm talking about general appearance, not the bracket part. I cant even tell you how many rxvs get fixed just by getting a better solenoid. (And yes, it likely should be a 36v solenoid, as much as you think it cant be right). The "little tiny one" was an absolute nightmare for me. (Nightmare while they were still under warranty, now just an easy fix for less than $50 parts cost). Be careful about putting a "monster" in there, it might not fit well.

Thank you. Yes. That is the solenoid we have in the car.

I am having the same issue.. i will be driving the cart and it will suddenly just stop. I have changed the motor brake, the brake switch by the brake pedal and now am in the process of getting a HD solenoid to see if thats the problem. My controller states that it is 235Amps. But my solenoid is only 150Amps. Would that cause this issue? My solenoid gets extremely hot after playing only 18 holes of golf, to the point it cant be touched. Thoughts?
