Default Precedent 48v Charger Dilemma

New cart owner and member here. The forum has already been a wealth of knowledge and extremely helpful. However, I need some assistance on an issue I haven't been able to answer searching the forum.

I have an '04 Precedent with (4)12v batteries. I have an after market general use 48v charger that is on deaths door.

Normally, I would just buy an OEM replacement charger but it appears the previous owner bypassed the OBC. I have found a handful of after market chargers that do not require the OBC, but they only work for (6)8v batteries and not (4)12v.

I could buy a charger that requires OBC, reconnect the OBC and see if that works but I am rolling the dice that the OBC is good. I am not sure if he bypassed due to a bad OBC or maybe his old charger broke? I don't want to have to buy a new charger and a new OBC.

So.....

1. Does anyone have a recomendation on a 48v charger that will work with (4)12v batteries and allow for automatic shutoff/trickle charge?

2. If not, is there a way to test the OBC before buying an OEM charger?

Thanks

The MODZ Max48 15 AMP Club Car Battery Charger will work with/without OBC and with (4) 12v batteries.
Mine has been working fine.

Interesting...that is the one I was looking at but the Amazon description and some of the reviews stated it did now work with 4x12
