Default AMD "Bad Boy" motor?

BGW folks,

As some of you know... I am building up a 2000 Club Car DS Series. I was going to go with a motor like the Admiral A1 or the AMD "beast". I was still between the two & am still torn. I need torque (to get 4 people up a large hill while towing some kayaks) but I also need the speed (looking for 23-25 with large tires).

BUT, I found the AMD "The bad boy" that promises 50% more torque AND 25MPH on 21" tires. This sounds perfect to me (link below). Has anyone ran this motor or had experience with it? It is only 5.5HP which is almost half of the other motors I'm looking at?

I should also note: I already have a 550AMP rebuilt controller & a D&D high speed motor that is not giving me enough torque.

HELP!

21s not 23s. Bigger tires reduce torque.
The admiral advertises 10 hp.
There is no substitute for horsepower.
Maybe look at PQ Assassin too

I haven't looked at PQ too much. Will check that way...

D&D suggested the 170-016-0002 saying 19-22 MPH (plus 2MPH give or take with my bigger tires) and 10+ increase in torque. The rep on the phone was raving about this guy... any thoughts?

P.S. I was planning on buying the motor from you (carts unlimited) which is why I haven't looked at PQ too much

That is funny. We don't have a torque motor that will meet your high speed goal. GL with the build.
