Default Clicking sound in rear

Hello, I am new to this forum and need some help. I have a 2003 EZ-Go TXT. I have a clicking sound in the rear. I only hear the sound at a very slow speed. If I speed up it seems to go away. The cart runs fine except for the clicking sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Is your cart electric? If so, when/how did it start. I have had armatures with a bad spot cause a clicking sound. Also rocks in tire tread, sticks hung under cart....
Does it do the same in reverse?

It's electric. The noise just started a week ago. It's not rocks in the tires. I think it may be the guide ring and if it is I need help removing the motor and replacing the bumper or guide ring.

I also checked for sticks and anything stuck underneath causing the noise. Nothing

I didn't hear it in reverse, but I didn't try reverse for a long distance.

I know some of the mid 90's ClubCars had a big problem with a bumping sound coming from the motors. It was a p**s poor design that used a guide ring and a spring and washer that held tension on the armature. More of a clattering sound really. On ezgo's I have also seen the splines become worn on the armature/input shaft on rear. Hopefully yours is a simpler fix

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your brake drum is loose. Remove the tire, take out the cotter pin and re-torque the axle nut to 85#. This is a common problem - Wait too long and you'll be buying a new brake drum. Check both sides while you have the tools out...

You're going to need an air compressor and impact wrench to get this right...

We did what you said and the axel nut was already torqued at 85#. We did both sides. We also loosen both axel nuts and re-torqued them to 85#. Still have the noise. We also have the noise in reverse. It seems to only happen on slow speed. Now what????????????

Does driving it differently make any change? Accelerating fast v/s pulling away slowly? Freewheeling or coasting to a stop?
Still thinkin'
