Sorry to bring up such an old, dormant thread but I have a Cushman 3 wheel, 24V cart and I have a 2 inch slot in my dash so I bought an hour meter to fill it. I was hoping I could just wire it in parallel to my ignition switch that's just a few inches away. My ignition switch is a three terminal switch (Batt, Acc and Ignition... it think). Are all of the three terminals on the back of the switch positive and if so, can I use the chassis for the negative hookup to the meter?

run it back to the pack negative battery , never the chassis.
