You may find slight variations but the carts were very close to the same throughout the 80s ...
This diagram covers 1983 - 1993 Resistor Coil carts.

Scotty b...I wired it just like the diagram says and i can't get a thing. I can't even get the solenoid to click. "i check it with jumper cables "it clicked" so i know its good.I'm not getting voltage to the solenoid?? I had to put a new micro switch on it. Can a micro switch be bad even if it clicks? I've checked wires,connections,ect...i'm brain dead. Any response welcome.

u need to get a meter and check the voltage, the power goes threw your micro switch on the f r switch, then threw your key, then your accelerator switch closes as soon as u press the accelerator down 20%, then it powers the solenoid after all the swutches are closed.

so make sure u have the key on, its on forward or reverse, and u have the pedal down.

take your meter and check and see where the voltage stops. its stopping somewhere.
