Detachable top?????
Ok, I searched and didn't see much in several searches, so let me ask the collective genius we have here.
I am thinking of making my EZ-Go top removable/detachable. It is an 88 model and the top is attached with a square tubing frame. I was thinking that maybe I could find a larger tubing that could slide over the existing tubing so that I can cut the original frame and have it insert into the new tubing to be pinned on one end and bolted on the other. Is this a good idea? Bad Idea? I need the clearance of removing the top for storage on the trailer I just purchased. In other words I can't back it into the carport with the roof/top on. Trailer is too tall , carport entrance is short at 7'. Am I thinking of something stupid or should I just go for it? |

You most likely could do what you are thinking, but the main drawback I would see to it, is the squeaking/ rattling noise you could get from all of that. If you could maybe figure out a way to have the original tubing coated in some way to help remove some of the noise then it may not be too bad. Just a thought. |

Love the look, and I will have to visit the measurements tomorrow. Like you I don't need a whole bunch, just 6 " or so. I like that idea. Seems easier than completely dropping the top. Thanks! |

Yeah I know, I told Dave, if he would advertise them or at least put them on his site he would sell a lot more. You will have to call or email him,but they are available.
