Default Increasing Speed on an 08 EZ-G0 w/ Series

I am looking at a few EZ-GO Carts with Series Motors. From what I understand, the series motors with on go approx 15 MPH. I have spoken with a few people and have basically been told that a a motor swap will not add a significant amount of speed. I don't understand this because this is clearly not the case with the Club Care Precedent.

i would like to get the cart up to about 24 MPH and would appreciate any input.

Thx, Mark

i'm pretty sure all Precedents are sepex aka IQ in club car speak. They're all 48v I believe also.

Starting with a series cart in good condition with top notch batteries you can probably get in the 20-22 range with a rewound motor by Plum Quick (site sponsor) but you will need upgraded wires, F/R switch and probably controller to support it. Beyond that will require 48v conversion. Suggest you contact these people http://www.cartsunlimited.net/. It's what they do.

My series Ezgo is running 24 mph with a Alltrax SPM500 controller, 48 volts, 23" tires, & PQ motor.

A series cart is not the best platform if you are wanting speed. Speed means a PDS cart. With just a controller swap and hd solenoid you will be at 24mph. If you add heavy duty cables and a plum quick motor along with 48v you will be at about 35mph on a good day

My 96 series cart does 24mph with 48v, 500A FSIP controller, Plum Quick motor and 18" tires. I could have gone faster by I needed to account that I live in the hills

My brothers 2003 36 volt series with a stock controller, 4 gauge wires, 23 inch tires and a PQ Bandit runs about 18-19.
