You need a small drum puller. The kind you can attach to 2 of the studs with the lug nuts and push off of the exle with the center nut.... Maybe auto zone loas them? Tell them your bolt pattern is 4 on 4. see if they have anything that small.

The cause for the stuck drum is usually very worn brake shoes and often a grooved drum
From the looks of that tray I'd say your cart was a little behind on it's maintenance schedule

P.S.
You can get the tray out with the rear body on... it just takes some force.

May depend on the model. Mine had bolts that are literally under the body. Are you saying there's a way to remove the bolts without removing the body?

Do you just remove a few rivets then force the body forward to access the bolts?

okay got my battery tray repaired, warning, purists look away! It's not pretty but it is sturdy enough to get me by until I decide if this cart is worth rescuing or if I need to find another cart and use this one as a donor for the lift, tires, and seat.

I borrowed a puller from O'Riely Auto Parts and I may end up having to buy it!! ( I put an impact on it) and the hub is now stuck 1/2 way off and the spline is actually spread a little!!! I'll try again later, I've put heat on it and everything, I have to keep stepping away from it so I don't take the sledge to it Lost Husker style!

I sprayed some more liquid wrench on it and decided I should try to go ahead and pull the other side too since I have the puller, it looks like it's going to be a battle too.

The batteries look pretty on the garage floor though

GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did trash the puller, the right side came off really easy, and the left side was a battle all the way until it came off. Adjusted the brakes and greased it up, put it back on, now I have to buy a die to chase the threads on the spindle.

Hopefully I'll be running by the end of next week.

I ran each groove with a hacksaw blade until it ran smooth, blasted it with brake cleaner, gooped it with grease and worked it over the spline until it went on and off easily. It was funny, the right side came off with a few taps of a hammer on a wooden block!

I got the nut back on the spline withouth a die too, just had to work those threads a little with a file and the hacksaw blade.

I'll go ahead and start pulling the stock controller and solinoid today and other wiring and probably drop the batteries in. I'm going to wait for my stuff to come in before I pull the FnR since I'm not sure what all gets replaced with the HD piece.

Still need to check the grease in the rear end too.

Did you get just the HD cam, or a hole new unit? If it is just the cam them leave the main unit mouted, and just the rotating part comes off.

While you're at it conert your brakes to disc style. Manual or hydraulic. Either one is going to be wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than the stock brakes and you won't have your problem again.

Just my 2 pennies.
