Cage is definitely in the plans. I need lightweight but, strong. The races I've been at the rule is under 10 sec in the 1/8 and you must have a cage, so I'm .5 away, still legal (helmet).....but, dangerous. What are you making yours out of? Are you connecting where the roof struts connect in the front and where the seat supports bolt down in the back?

Well Terry, I know it's nog really an option but I will throw it out there. What about going 72 volts? Just curious if you ever pondered that? Well I know you have, but like actually took strong consideration in it? I'll buy your 48v pack from you

The ezgo needs batteries bad.

I have considered it but I'm staying with 48v for now any way. It's kind of a challenge to see just how far I can push a PDS cart on 48v.

1.5" DOM .120 wall. We discussed going with a lghiter tubing and I may change my mind but will probably go with the .120.

It will attach at the windshield moutning points, the seat mounting points and at the rear chassis crossmember. I've started a roll cage thread that hopefully expalins what we have in mind.

After discussing my mods and reviewing the numbers with Alltrax, they say that the controller is going into current limit which is slowing the throttle response. After playing with the setting a bit more I discoverd that it actually gets to 100% faster at a lower throttle up rate. If I understand correctly, the motor is basically asking for more than the controller is willing to give at the higher throttle rates and the controller is slowing the response to protect itself. Short answer....DCX 600 on the way. Rich says that should get the throttle to 100% within 1 second. Even shorter answer....just throw money at it.
