A red light at wide open throttle means the cart is seeing a full throttle accelerator signal.

Nothing wrong there?

everything must remain hooked up...all battery cables must be hooked up cart needs full voltage for this test...and be very careful and only hook from M- on controller to main battery Negative or you risk frying controller...

Camaro...I still don't know what you mean - what type of cable am I hooking up? Can I use one of the older cables that I took off? I don't have any extra cables that are 4g. Even car jumper cables are 10g.

ScottyB - I get an amber (yellowish) light at full throttle - your troubleshooting guide that came with controller says this is normal, correct? when i back off at mid throttle it is solid green (again, normal right?).

correct the light should be yellow(amber) at full throttle I'm looking at an Alltrax guide now...solid red is programming mode...and yes you can use an old 6 gauge battery cable as your jumper...make sure rear wheels are up as cart will take off at full throttle if motor is functioning and do not hold pedal down just press for a second to see if its working
