05 Precedent 48 Volt Battery Meter Low Readings
Me and a buddy just installed a battery meter and 12 volt outlet on my 05 Club Car Precedent 48 volt. He did most of the work since he has some eletrical training. The problem is it shows low batteries and when we put a voltage meter on them it shows a full charge. And now even the charger seems to run longer than usual. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The Precedent has provision for a meter behind the dash

Re: 05 Precedent 48 Volt Battery Meter Low Readings
We connected it from behind the dash and routed it under. Then connected it to one battery positive and negative and spliced into ignition. I have the same wiring diagram, but I didn't understand where it would go. There is a spot where I think it could plug in behind the dash but I didn't want to blow anything electrical up.

I say a spot a I thought should be wired into the harness behind the dash. The instructions had one wire to the ignition, positive and negative. We just ran it back to a battery and spliced into the ignition wire.

Scotty can correct me if I'm wrong but splicing into the ignition would give you the pos feed and not sure why you also wired it back to the pos post of the battery pack?
