Question Need Help with anderson connector Please respond.

Hi all, I am still in pursuit of changing every cable in the cart and have a small problem. How do I get the anderson plug at the charger receptal end open? I have taken it out of the cart to preplace both +/- cables but dont know how to open the little plastic holder?

So I went in search of this anderson 50 amp connector. I looks like you unplug them from the housing? If I do that do I need new connectors? Is it okay to use 4 awg instead of 8 awg

Charge cables only pass 20 amps, 10g is all that's required... You will need to solder on the proper gauge ends if you are making the cables...New ends are a good idea.

Sorry maybe I was not clear. I was trying to replace the neg wire from the battery to the anderson plug and could not figure out how disconnect it. I ended up just cutting off the neg lug, heat shrink and crimping. The cable is fine it was the lug that was bad. I just thought I would replace the whole cable since I needed to fix the lug. i have not been able to charge since the lug broke off a few days ago.

should i delete the thread since the problem is solved. and again cant say thank you enough for responding...
