How do I add AC accessories to my cart?
I picked up an 36v EZGO project which is an 198? I tried to look up the serial number on the EZGO site but I get no results.
Serial# 263937 Mfg Code: G1282 How do I figure out what I have? The cart is very solid with a set of batteries and a charger from 2011, runs awesome but needs prettying up so I'm working on it. I keep the batteries and terminals clean and topped off with distilled water. No complaints, run time is ..I don't know we've never ran it to dead but the kids drive the hell out of it around the neighborhood. I take one of the kids and a couple of her friends to school (1 mile away) and pick the other up at the bus stop a couple days a week. It seems very solid to me. With the holidays coming up I would like to throw some rope lights or christmas lights on it when I take the kids around the neighborhood trick or treating. What is the easiest and cheapest way to accomplish this? I have a few strands of rope lights sitting around so I was thinking of zip tying those to the roof and support bars. I was also considering tossing a fog machine on the cart. I have an automotive 400w inverter with battery terminal clamps sitting in the garage, can that be used somehow to do this? How can I add AC accessories to my cart..arrrg!? Any help is appreciated! Chris |

You either need a 36v--->12v transformer or a separate 12v battery to power your inverter. I wouldn't suggest tapping 12v from the drive pack.

Is this what I'm looking for:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Golf-Cart-Co...item2ec1d9a5e6 Or is there something cheaper at the hardware store or something that everybody uses? |

Re: How do I add AC accessories to my cart?
What you need to look at is how many amps it puts out with this one being 10. 10 is probably only enough to run normal lights and won't get you close to running that fog machine. Your best bet for all that would be to buy a seperate marine 12v battery and put it under the seat as well. Then you could power all that and your inverter. Your inverter may not be big enough. Most of those fog machines draw 400w on there own without the lights you would be over the capacity of the inverter.
