Re: Installed HID lights
I asked for bulb 889 and 8000k temp bulb. Yes they are true hid with ballast. They aren't just blue "cool white" bulbs. They are bright as heck, justo pointed too high up, still not sure how to lower them.

Re: Installed HID lights
Can you tell me how you knew to get the 889 bulb? I am not familiar with the 880 series bulbs. Thanks

Re: Installed HID lights
It said it on the bulb that I removed from the cart. There are several numbers that fit the same. I believe its the fog light out of early 2000's silverado

Re: Installed HID lights
I ordered the kit, mine came with straight bulb base and need 90 degree bulb bases like oem bulbs to not interfere with bumper. Were your bulbs straight base?

Re: Installed HID lights
I took my light bar/ bumper off for the install and it appears you could lengthen the upper and lower mounting holes and perhaps tilt your light down a small amount

Re: Installed HID lights
These look great, looking to do the same. I'm sticking with a 4500/5000k bulb. I want them to be as white as possible. Also I've installed HID's on a few things mostly snowmobiles. Drive it at night before you adjust the beam height. It always seems they are pointed to high but when riding the are fine. Let us know how they turn out.

Re: Installed HID lights
6,000K is the medium of the scale. I have 6,000K in my truck and they are "ice blue" according to the website. Love them

Re: Installed HID lights
With this kit was it a true " plug and play" or did you have to wire directly to battery. Any need for a relay harness? Also you control the lights through your OEM controls so you only turn them on when you want? Thanks, and it looks like you did a great job. I like the look a lot! Chris

Re: Installed HID lights
Its 100% plug and play. It comes withe the small ballast (zip tied them to the frame) and the lights. No extra harness needed. Ill take pics once I get home later this afternoon.
