sometimes wont move
hey all. ive got a 2005 pds ezgo, and sometimes when i go to back up it dont move. dont know why but i may go forward and then go to reverse and it works. it almost will move if that makes sense. maybe an inch then quit. i went ahead and put a new solenoid on but that wasent it. dont know what to ckeck or do now. thanks

A PDS is pretty much a "Fly-by-Wire" system and the controller does everything.
About the only difference between forward and reverse is within the controller itself. The F/R rocker switch tells the controller which way to send the field current through the field windings, so cart might go one way but not the other if it was bad. Also, check for worn off insulation on the F1 & F2 cables where the are routed around the battery box frame. If the F/R switch is good and the insulation is intact, it might be a good time to upgrade the controller.  |
