Re: 98 club car
Does the cart have a Run/Tow switch under the seat? Also, is the shifter a knob or a rocker switch?

Re: 98 club car
If you have a Regen cart, it sounds like the cart is going into "limp mode", where the "pig-tail" speed sensor on the end of the motor has gone bad

Re: 98 club car
. . check half-speed reverse limit switch to ensure it has not failed in closed position . . .

Re: 98 club car
Yes, we had to replace the f/r switch with a new one cause it quit running in reverse and we also replaced solonoid switch and it is running but still the same speed as it always did....

Re: 98 club car
This card is 16 years old. Over time the throttle linkage wears. This creates slop which results in the throttle input device (MCOR) not sending a full throttle signal to the control.
You can test this at the controller to verify you are getting the full 5k-0 signal. If you are not getting a full signal you can observe the throttle linkage while somebody pushes the paddle to see where the slop is. Often times the mechanical slop can be repaired with good results. |
