Hmmm... With the lift and larger tires you're definitely drawing more amps all the time than the setup was ever designed for. This would explain the melting of the V-glides since increased amperage draw = lotsa extra heat. However, you said you were fine for 3 years before the melting started, so some variable had to change. New tires? Difference in how you use the cart or where you take it? Gremlins taking up residence inside the comfy pie shaped V-glide housing??
