If you're gonna do that, you need to get rid of the OBC and get a DPI charger. Otherwise you're going to ruin the floor in your garage.

Luckily I rent a townhouse with a garage lol. How are the batteries in general tho, as far as range and life time? $600 seems like a sweet deal

They're a good quality battery if you take good care of them. But if they're not charging correctly and you boil the acid out of them they're not going to last long. You can't go wrong with Trojan.

For the past 2 years, we have been having so many problems with trojan 12 volt batteries, we try not to use them anymore.

i heard trojan was bought out 2 years ago, by a group of young investers and the cut the lead content in the 12 volt batteries.

I have had 16 customers in the last 2 years that we have had 12 volt trojan issues. The customers were rxvs, yamahas, and precedents. All over the board. At least 1 battery has failed, usually around the 21 -24 monthmark, right after the warranty. So we have been pushing USBatteries out here.
