Default Multi-voltage battery charger

Does anyone make a battery charger that has 42v and 48v charging options.
I'm looking to add another 6v battery for a total of 42v. My current batteries are 1 year old, but I plan to go to 48v when they are done. Looking for an upgrade in the meantime, but don't want to buy 2 chargers.

I've got one out in the shop that I keep on hand , made by Schumaker, a Model SE-1072. It will charge 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, or 72 volts by setting a dial on the front. Having a variety of carts coming in at different plug configurations and voltages I use it a lot for topping off a set when needed. It's handy because it has 2 cables with alligator clamps instead of a plug where I can hook it to any kind of cart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Schumache...arger/16550321

I'm pretty sure the Lester Summit II can be configure for 42V now and then reconfigured for 48V later.

The schumaker does not list 42v as an option that I can see.

Do I have to have Lester reconfigure the charger to see 42v? It says that it switches between 36v and 48v...

The PDF file I posted, tells you how to configure it for 42V.

Contact vendor linked to or the manufacturer for conformation and more info.

Just a piggyback question on 42v.
Does the field map need to be changed in the Alltrax when going to 42v?

Maybe.

There is a field map for a stock PDS motor running on 48V, but not sure if there is one for 42V. Contact Alltrax and ask if it exists.

Armature amps is the primary factor for field weakening with a XCT48x00-PDS controller while motor RPM and other factors are secondary, so you ought to be okay until you get an answer back from them.
