Golf Cart will not turn over
Good Evening, About three weeks ago i was driving my golf cart and everything was fine. the next day i was gunna get it out but it would not turn over. It would act like it was gunna start but nothing happened so we first changed the spark plugs then we cleaned the carb and check all of the fuel lines and made sur that the fuel pump was working. After all done with that we tried getting it to turn over. i dont get why it starts but the engine wont like turn over so u can drive it. Does anybody know what i should should do now or what to check. Thank you

Re: Golf Cart will not turn over
Dcchris, Just to simplify things lets establish a couple of common terms:
Turn over = what the starter does to the engine when it is trying to start. Same as cranking. Start = When the cranking engine catches and begins to run unassisted from the starter motor. So if I read you right she cranks but she won't start? Correct? You got fuel, what about spark and compression? Can you verify either of those? |

Re: Golf Cart will not turn over
What was the compression?
You have compression and spark so only thing left is fuel. Pull the fuel line off of the carb, stick the end in a can or bottle and push the pedal, you should have gas pump out of the end of the hose. If you do, then you most likely need to remove and clean the carb. If you do not have fuel coming out of the hose you need to check for cracked fuel lines, clogged fuel filter, cracked or broken pulse hose, (this is the hose between the motor and the fuel pump) Check these and get back with us. |

Re: Golf Cart will not turn over
Now we are getting somewhere I think Crash would like a Number on that compression test too.... remember fully charged battery and throttle wide open for the test
