Starter motor charging wires
So my yamaha g2 starter generator motors wires are both connected to postive and negative I know because I used a continuity checker. Is that normal I think that's my reason it's not charging my battery but I am using a deep cycle so if you have any ideas it will help

Suggest you start by going to the "stickies" (at the very beginning of threads) and find your wiring diagram. Make a copy of it and check your starter circuit wiring. Problem could be voltage regulator if S/G is wired correctly. RAY
