Default Need 89 left side engine crank case

Working on 1989 EZGO Marathon.
Just broke down engine to rebuild.
Got case split and noticed crankshaft seal had worn through on top.
Removed seal and pressed out bearings, an noticed a crack in case at seal edge.
Looks as though someone has hit case with a hammer right at seal edge.
So I would like to find used left side case.
Here are some pics:
Many thanks in advance.

Ouch!
I would take carb cleaner and a tooth brush and clean every bit o dirt out of the cracks.
Then take a body dolly in similar circumference and a hammer and gently beat the bent section back round to where it was. The last bit will not go. You will need some course sandpaper to take the last lip out. Use a new seal as a guide. If you beat it to hard the chunks will break off.
Big ifs here.
If the chunks dont break off or get loose and you can get a nice round surface again i would put some sealant on it and use it.
Not load bearing other then holding the seal in place. As long as it is round it should work and not cause that awful wear.

I have seen damage like this before on motorcycles and fixed them the same way.
Usually from someone trying to pull a flywheel with a prybar. Half of the time the case needed tig welded back together. Most of those cases was from the bits breaking off.

Thanks My1423 for great advice. I heated the case up with heat gun to try to avoid doing more damage and it worked. I haven't sanded yet as am waiting on seals and kit then will see what more to do. Again thanks.

I like what my1423 said. I would do it a little bit differently. I would grind and clean it well, then weld it up and re-machine it to original size. The one BIG possible fly in the ointment is that some die-cast metal does not weld worth a crap.
