Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
Cart runs fine, clutch engages in and out, belt turns pulley on rear diff, cart will go no were. Removed rear housing split cases looking for worn gear or gears, broken parts or just inspect the whole internal workings and nothing appears to be wrong. Axles seem to be OK, splines are not worn on the housing side. Is there something in the rear drive pulley that is adjustable? What could I be missing. Don't have a repair manual yet, sent for one but has not arrived. Broke down and not being able to understand the problem is driving me nuts.

Re: Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
Check your brake drums. They are notoriously weak, and axle(s) will strip out the inside of the drum/hub. It normally seems to happen to one at a time.

Re: Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
Should both rear hubs have splines? One of mine is not? the splines on the passenger side axle look a lot better then the drivers side. But the brake drum on that side does not have splines - just a larger un-splined hole. I do believe that you hit on the issue with the brake drum being the issue.

Re: Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
thanks for the help with my problem. After inspection of the splines on the axles & drums, I found pieces of cast iron from the drum in the spline of the axle. So looking for a little past history from the group. I know because of the drums being cast and the pieces in the axle splines I will need too replace both drums. Will I need to replace the axles as a pair of the repair in you opinions? Cleaned up both with wire brush and with nothing to compare them to it is hard to say how much wear is on the axle splines. Just asking for the groups humble opinion. New hobby for me and will be asking more questions as I start to add options

Re: Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
I had this issue a while back and i found it cheaper to get a complete axle from this site instead of rebuilding it think I got the complete rearend for 200

Re: Cart will not go move in forward or reverse
If they look good I'd go with them, its' usually the drums that are the problem.
