Rear shock springs?
Red heavy duty springs came on the G16 when I bought it . There really stiff and don't have much movement at all. Thinking of changing them and have rear seat but 95% of time it's just me on the cart. Would stock springs work? Or something in middle between stock and heavy duty.

Re: Rear shock springs?
Those look like Jakes springs. I returned a set of "heavy duty" G16 shocks because they were too stiff.

Re: Rear shock springs?
Ok I drive more on hottop more than dirtroads. My stock springs are not doing it for me.

Re: Rear shock springs?
Plowman recommended to use stock spring and a spacer instead of the hd spring he said had spring is too stiff. which is what I may do although I do tow some with mine

Re: Rear shock springs?
Can you buy just the blocks? I have the stock springs on mine and want something heavier but don't want it to be too stiff.

Re: Rear shock springs?
On my 4 seater G15-A (Japan), I have to change all 4 shokes and was thinking to change all with Jakes heavy duty (G2/G8/G9).
In front, the attaches are different but I should be able to make brackets. I would have two questions for someone having installed them on his G2/G8/G9: 1. What is exactly the distance between the two eyes of this shoke? 2. As it is a 4 seater, I suspect it is ok (even better) for the rear but what do you think of having them also in front according to your experience? Thanks... |
