Default Finalizing the restore....after a year

So I'm trying to get the throttle linkage straightened out. Anyone have a pic of where the cables need adjusted to for maximum speed? Here are pics of what I'm dealing with. Any help would be awesome....

For Max speed drill out the "D" shaped hole on the arm a size bigger than the shaft and let it free soon on the shaft

Also, can the linkage from that piece to the carb be shortened and where do I put the threads on either end of the throttle cable? Do I need more thread towards the front or less?

Yes, the linkage I circled as red in your pic can be shortened for more speed. Top speed on these with the governor in place is right around 15 mph. If you want faster you can bypass the governor. I think that there is a sticky for that.

The two green circled pieces need connected with a clevis but you probably knew that.

I don't believe that there is any type of speed functionality with anything at the pedal assembly but someone who knows these carts more than me should confirm that. The throttle cable threads are just to assure that your cable doesn't have too much slack. The governor assembly controls the speed.

Well, I tightened up the throttle linkage and refilled the oil and rear end gear oil and with some choking (due to it sitting for a year) its running like a raped ape. SO HAPPY!! Thank you for the help.

This thing is finally making progress. have all the stock wiring wrapped and ran where it needs to go and then I'm installing a fuse block and all my lights. Once I get it painted up and done, i'll post some pics of all this "restoration"...lol

Ok. Well I have almost completed this thing and need some more help. I have lost, somewhere in the shuffle of restoration, the rubber piece that goes between the front body and the steering wheel/ignition key/choke box. Google has been no help to me regarding this part can anyone on here help me out?
