Default runs better in cold weather

mid 90s G9. No mods except for rear springs because of the rear seat. Engine totally stock. Air cleaner box in good shape.Just getting it out from winter storage. Temps around here not hardly breaking 40f. After a min or 2 warmup in "neutral" the cart runs very smooth. I wish I could say that when the temps get high 70s or more. Its not as smooth running as it is now. We use this to cruse around town. That means very slow speeds. Is there anything I should do to help cool the engine down? Ive cleaned the fan. I have got all the gunk of the engine fins. Im thinking of a couple muffin fans with a thermostat and relay to bring a little more "cool" air into the engine compartment. Do you think that would help? It does not run bad when its warmer out. Just not as good as I would like.

I have seen ignitors (ignition box) that like colder weather, and work worse after warming up or long trip. Unfortunately, there is no test procedure, official Yamaha literature says "test with known good unit".

It doesn't mis or anything like that. It just seems to have better throttle response and starts a little better. Slow speed driving seems better. I'm just thinking that the hot engine compartment might be a cause. Ive got the stuff to install the little fans and a relay. Trying to decide where to put them now. Ill mount the thermostat by the muffler.

The ignitor is right next to the main solenoid, just wire it there to be on whenever pedal is pressed. Super simple that way.
