Stock G1 slow start when engine warmed up ??
I need some advice guys. I have a G1 that has fresh gas, fuel filter, air filter and ngk BPH6s gapped .025. Runs and takes off great when the motor is "cold" per say.
However, after warmed up it cruises fine, but if you stop it is almost like its loading up. Choke in obviously in, but it takes a good 10sec to really clear up and go. Now it cruises and reaches speed fine, but why is it bogging so much on takeoff???? |

Re: Stock G1 slow start when engine warmed up ??
I have seen this twice. Once was the result of vapor lock which is when liquid fuel turns to vapor because of engine heat. Insulating the fuel line from the tank to the carb may help.
The other time I saw this was due to the delayed start relay, located above the rear passenger fender, hanging up once it was hot. The intention of that relay is to delay the cart from immediately starting when quickly switching between forward and reverse. So long as no one is driving like a fool it isn't needed. All the same, they can be jumped just by splicing he while wires. Not sure if one of these are your problem but I thought I would throw it out there. |
