Default G16 governor shaft / fork removal necessary. ?

Is it necessary (or recommended) to remove the governor arm, shaft and fork when completely bypassing the governor on a g16. ?

Default Re: G16 governor shaft / fork removal necessary. ?

Are you drilling out the governor arm and leaving the OEM cables in place--best choice IMO--, or running 1 cable direct to the carb?

I've got 3, all have the gov arm drilled and the gov shafts/forks are all in place.
