RXV Gas Stereo Install
I am getting ready to install a small stereo system in an Ezgo RXV gasser. I am wondering if I can use the 12 volt switched output from the key switch to turn on a remote amp. I know you cannot due this with an electric cart but wasn't sure since it is gas if you can tap 12 volts from the switch. Thanks!

Re: RXV Gas Stereo Install
I'm not familiar with the RXV electrical system (ignition switch) but I can't think of any reason why not doing that on any gas buggy

Re: RXV Gas Stereo Install
You can. I modified my 2009 RXV with a relay connected to the switch. It powers up entire fuse block with light kit, horn, etc.
The only thing that isn't on/off with key is the reverse beeper (yet). |

Re: RXV Gas Stereo Install
I dont know about the RXV but you may want to test it with a meter first. In the TXT and workhorse models, power goes through the pedal switch before the key switch. So the key switch only has power when you're actually driving...
