Default 2016 Yamaha G 29 hop up questiions

My buddy has this 2016 Yamaha. He asked me if I can make it faster. I am a gas guy new to electric carts. is there a governor like on gas carts you can tweak some? Is there cost effective ways to get a little more performance from them? Thanks in advance!

No governor screw on an electric motor. And no "real cheap speed" to be had.

Thanks, what do you recommend for some mild speed increase? I have done some reading on the subject. Still not sure I figure I will go to the guys who know!!! I just went to the Plumquick site. Looks like a thousand bucks is needed to go faster if Im reading this right.

Your cheapest speed upgrade would be an alltrax controller. That would get you to 21-22 mph.

I was under the impression that the dealer could program it for a few extra miles per hr for less than a couple hundred bucks

They can get you to 19 mph, but it's likely gonna be a little over $100. We didnt discuss how fast it actually went now.
