In need of some more power

Just got my first cart. A 1988 ez go gas. I'm in the process of putting on a lift kit and bigger tires. What can I do to gain more power without changing to a different motor. I hear about the shorter belt. Which belt will work for mine? How about the clutch and any other performance mods that you guys know about.

Milll the head remove air box add after market air intake and filter, diffrent exhaust or mod the one you have..
Those are a few of the simple mods..
