Default Swapping cams out on f&r assembly.

Hello, I got a slightly better condition f&r assembly for my cart. My cart its a 81 2 cycle with no micro switches on the board, but the one I just got has the 2 micro switches at the bottom of the board. I was assured that it was a2cycle board, but just probably mid 80s . I am curious if I can take the cam off the one I just got and put on mine that has no micro switches.

Finger mine is an 87 and it does have the two switches so you was told correct it is a 2cyl. with that said I don't know if they interchange but may I ask what was wrong with yours? I have an early model f/r switch but it came off of an electric and again I don't know if there the same. If you can't get yours worked out give me a shout well see what we can do K

I think there is a delay with the start up going into gear. It takes a minute before IT wants to fire over and go. I guess it could be a starter issue as well. I Ann in the middle of replacing new starter and wires. Sometimes also I will wiggle it back and forth and when I put it into gear, forward will go in reverse and reverse will go forward. I might just order a replacement cam for mine. Seems like something screwy in the contacts.

OK sure it's not a problem with the mirco switch?

Well, I got a chance to look at those f&r assemblies today and they both were the same inside with the cam and rod .The one on my cart had the 2 of the 4 contact spots were a little rough so I thought this would do the trick. Nope, it was still having delay on the start up. Its almost like the starter is dragging a little bit on the starting l ike it is struggling. I want to figure out how you do the jumper cable test with a starter, cause I got an extra one, but want to make sure it is good before I put it in . I also have noticed a small hole in the shell of my voltage regulator. What kind of starting problems does it cause? I found a cheap regulator online and ordered it.
