What year cart do you have Meist? The picture that Brew put up is from a 2 cycle setup. If you have a 4 stroke cart, then you most likely need to simply lengthen the throttle linkage. The goal is to ensure that the throttle plate is fully closed before the pedal switch clicks off. Check it with the key off in a quiet area so you can hear the pedal switch. In other words, depress the pedal, listen for the click while observing the throttle plate. It should not move until the pedal is pressed around 1/2" or so.
