Buy new freeze plugs, it saves welding up the screw holes or other repairs after removing them.

PS
If it is 22 tooth let me know, I have a previously installed set, thanks to a buddy of mine. LOL
Scotty, you might be thinking of an electric diff. Usually no freeze plugs on the ME29 diff for the 4 cycle set up.

How do these rears hold up when the spiders are welded?

wheew, thanks for clearing that up..doo doo happens sometimes
i was sleep thinking all night thinking there is not a freezeplug here or i would have seen it lol..but im wrong enough to figure it was possible

far as how they hold up i cant say..ive read a few older threads that say the me29 has bigger axles as these axles in mine are as big in the long part than my 97 jeep tj stock axles
but we all no how that works.bigger axles means the weak point is in the splined ends hopefully.
i also saved a thread that says the old me29 axles dont accept a locker like the 99? ad newer because the spider gear iff carrier is smaller..but they say the newer carrier with bigger housing fits in there the same,so there is a way to have a limited slip locker in the older rears.if you have some parts

sould i keep the pics and info in thi thread for others? or keep it in my build thread where its at now,,with pics?
going to see what kinda mess ive gotton myself into now

heres the huge axles..i guess the 1 inch size they say is at the splined end as its 1 and a 1/8 or so in the center mass

not sure what to look for but are these broken pieces from the gov?

i hope this diff is worth the time i will spend on it.

scottyb you were right,,not so bad once i dug into it

well since my local 45 yr in buisness bearing company has everything i need i figured i would put all these bearing pt numbers in here for others to save lot of time..
1994 ezgo me29 axle part numbers;
first the axle shafts are 1-1/8th thick in the center longest part, and .930 on the splined ends of the axles.

2-wheel bearings pt#2055,but locally called a 6205=2rs since its a sealed bearing.same as input shaft bearings,but sealed. 9.52 each

2-6205 input shaft bearings 9.19 each

2-6008 differential side bearings that the axles go thru.21.59 0r 27.59 ?

2-6204 bearings for the geared shaft that the shift fork goes into.7.95 each

2-bh4887e inner axle seals behind where the axle tubes bolt up.

1-ah1334e input shaft seal
